Understanding DFARS compliance
With cyber security becoming an increasing threat to businesses worldwide, Bryan Tool is committed to putting our customer’s privacy and information security at the top of our list. We have spent the last year upgrading our virtual security to increase the protection of digital assets.
Bryan Tool is now DFARS compliant, meaning we have taken pride in making sure our information is secure. DFARS is important because it protects the confidentiality of controlled unclassified information (CUI). From a customer standpoint, conducting business with a company that is DFARS certified can have many benefits. The DFARS compliance gives customers confidence that their transactions and confidential information is protected. In order for Bryan tool to acquire a DFARS compliance, some guidelines must be followed. Some of those include incident response, media protection, and security assessment. These 14 requirements are designed to safeguard CUI in the IT networks of government contractors and subcontractors.
